Calibrated sandstone is machine-cut along the underside to a uniform thickness (typically 22mm), allowing for precise, level laying across a full wet-mortar bed. Uncalibrated stone varies in thickness, making installation more time-consuming and labor-intensive. We exclusively use calibrated sandstone for superior structural results.

Slabs loosen when contractors "spot-bed" (dot-and-dab) them onto mortar, leaving hollow voids underneath. We lay every sandstone slab on a 100% full wet-mortar bed coated with an SBR polymer slurry primer, ensuring total surface adhesion and zero hollow spots.
